Talkin Tarn Country Park
Times: 9:45am Friday to Tuesday. Please ensure you arrive promptly as staffing for training is not available later and you may not beable to take the Tramper out.
Distance: 2.5km/1.5miles
Gradient: Mainly flat with only a few short climbs
Talkin Tarn is a beautiful glacial tarn surrounded by ancient woodlands. The Tamper route circumnavigates the Tarn. You will get lovely views over the water, as well as, the chance to see the birds, flora and fauna that call the Tarn home.
The route itself is on a good hard packed path and is mainly flat with only a few short steep climbs. The route can be taken in either direction around the Tarn.
There is one Tramper available at Talkin Tarn and each session is 3hrs long.
Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the Tramper hire session. All users must stay on the designated Tramper route path.
