Your Outdoor Mobility membership also gives you access to several sites in the South West and beyond, in partnership with Countryside Mobility. They operate Trampers at a vast variety of National Trust locations, coastal paths and beaches.

How to hire at a Countryside Mobility location if you are an Outdoor Mobility member

Countryside Mobility will provide you with a unique promotion code for a 2 week 'Taster' membership to cover your visit to this part of the country so that you don't have to pay the normal membership fee. Please see the 'How to' section below for details of how to obtain your code and use it.

Things you need to know:

Any other charges still apply - Please note that it is only the Countryside Mobility membership that is free of charge. You will need to pay any normal admission or parking fees applicable at the attraction. If the partner site charges a hire fee for the Tramper (this applies to around 1/3rd of our partner locations but should only ever be the equivalent of £2.50 per hour) this will also need to be paid.

Visiting again? - There is no restriction on the number of times you can use this benefit but you cannot use the same promotion code twice. Just contact Countryside Mobility each time you wish to visit the area and we will provide a new promotion code.

Do you live in the South of England/ Midlands/ Wales? - If the locations that are part of the Countryside Mobility network are closer to your home and you are likely to use them more frequently than those operated by Outdoor Mobility in the North of England then you may prefer to become an annual member of Countryside Mobility.

How to - 3 Steps to Follow:

  1. Contact Countryside Mobility Before Your Visit to Request Your Promotion Code
Email info@countrysidemobility.org and request a promotion code for your visit. Include in the email:
    - Your name (and a phone number, if possible)
    - When you plan to visit the area to hire a Countryside Mobility Tramper (don't worry if you cannot be precise). As we are a small team who work part time please allow plenty of time for us to respond (a minimum of 72 hours before your first hire, but longer if at all possible).

  2. Book Your Tramper Direct with the Hire Location
Countryside Mobility don't have the ability to be able to manage Tramper bookings centrally and online. Therefore, you will need to contact the location that you are interested in visiting directly. Browse their locations section, by clicking the link at the bottom of this page, and choose where you would like to go. Each location page will include a phone number and/or email to contact the location and book a Tramper. (While you may be able to hire on the spot, most hire locations only have one Tramper and/or may have staff limitations, so we always advise booking ahead to avoid disappointment).

  3. Request a 2 Week 'Taster' Membership and Use Your Promo Code
When at the site and hiring the Tramper request a 2 week 'Taster' membership and show the member of staff your promotion code so that you are not charged for this. You will receive a Tramper induction and be given your paper copy of the membership form which you should retain for any other hires at Countryside Mobility locations during the following 2 weeks.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

We hope that you enjoy visiting Countryside Mobility hire locations as a benefit of your Outdoor Mobility membership.
