When coffee turns into adventure...

Whinlatter Forest was our first Tramper site and still remains the most popular – so much so that the Forest now has two Lake District Mobility Trampers.

And here’s one family who are very glad about that!

Julie Hastings, whose parents are in their 80s, had previously avoided days out at Whinlatter because they both find walking difficult. “Long family walks just aren’t an option”, she said.

Whilst having a coffee at Siskins Café, however, they spotted the Trampers – and booked them both for the next day.

“We had such a fabulous time,” she said. “While using the Trampers, we were able to enjoy a family walk and scenery which without the Trampers would have been impossible.

“It really was a very special visit and I can’t recommend them enough. The cost as well was so reasonable and we will definitely be repeating the outing next time they visit us!”

Julie praised the helpful staff at Whinlatter, and sent us these stunning photos of her family enjoying their new freedom in the outdoors. Her mum and dad even recorded a video to tell us about their day! Everyone at Lake District Mobility wishes them many happy adventures to come.
