We will be taking a closer look at each of our new North Pennines Trampers over the coming weeks. First up is Talkin Tarn Country Park, near Brampton outside of Carlisle.
The 2.5km route takes the path along the shores of the Talkin Tarn and goes all the way round, it can be taken in either direction as preferred by the user. There are great views across the tarn and the route takes you through some beautiful ancient woodland too. The tarn itself is home to lots of bird and wildlife, which you can try to spot along the way.
Once back at base there is the lovely café for refreshments with a playground alongside to keep any children entertained. It's a wonderful place for a day out that everyone can enjoy!
